Head down to Bearsted Green on Bank Holiday Monday, 29th August from 1pm, to support two of your local community clubs as they battle it out for the honour of lifting the Mick Filmer trophy.

As has become tradition, Bearsted Cricket Club with take on an invitational team representing the Bearsted & Thurnham Club in a game of cricket to raise valued and much needed funds for two charities, close to the hearts of many locals, the Kent Surrey & Sussex Air Ambulance Trust and the Heart of Kent Hospice.

As well as the stellar sporting exploits on show on the pitch, there will be entertainment off the pitch as well as a raffle and BBQ, with all money raised going to the charities - so please be generous.

As it appears that the weather will continue to be kind to us this summer, there will also be cold drinks available for spectators at both clubs on the day.

We look forward to seeing a large crowd on the Green enjoying all that is good about living in our village…
