Although we did manage to play some junior cricket in 2020 it was limited and understandably numbers were down. But 2021 is looking a lot more promising and we look forward to once again seeing all of our current junior players and welcoming many more new players of all abilities and all ages.

Bearsted Cubs Junior Cricket sessions are organised in age groups with training and matches taking place as follows;

Under 9s (softball)

• School years: 1-4
• Training: Sunday 10am to 11am (from Sunday 9th May)
• Location: Bearsted Green
• Equipment: Provided – wear sports / cricket clothing (BCC kit available online) and bring a cool drink

Under 11s (incrediball & hardball)

• School years: 5-6
• Training: Saturday 9:30am to 11am (from Saturday 1st May)
• Location: Hollingbourne Ground (Pilgrims Way, near the Dirty Habit)
• Equipment: Some provided for training although players may prefer to bring their own
• kit including bat, pads and gloves (helmets and boxes must be worn for batting and wicket keeping when using hardball). Always bring a refreshing drink.

Under 13s (hardball)

• School years: 7-8
• Training: Tuesday 6pm to 7:30pm (from Tuesday 6th April)
• Location: Bearsted Green
• Equipment Some spare helmets, pads and gloves provided for training although many players bring their own kit including bat, pads and gloves (helmets and boxes must be worn when batting and wicket keeping). You guessed it... please bring a refreshment.

Under 17s (hardball)

• School years: Up to 12
• Training: Wednesday 6:30-8:30pm (see Senior Training)
• Location: Hollingbourne Ground or Bearsted Green
• Equipment: Players own

All training sessions are detailed on the Bearsted CC website. To register for junior cricket at Bearsted CC and set your attendance at any of these sessions click the JOIN button on the homepage and sign up (parents can join and then add their children to their membership in the relevant age group).

For insurance and track and trace purposes, and importantly to ensure the safety of all players at all times it is important that you are registered and that coaches know expected numbers in advance.

For new members there is no obigation to pay membership fees immediately after initial registration.

However, for those wishing to continue playing during 2021, fees for the season are as follows (existing member subscriptions due by 31st May):

• Mini (U9 to U13): £50
• Junior (U18): £60
• Concession (over 18 in full time education): £60
• Senior (over 18): £100
